| A bit about me and Karen
|
History
Born in Northern Ireland I joined the regular army in 1976 after serving 3 years with the Ulster Defence Regiment.
Settled in Dorset after 22 years in the Royal Armoured Corp, 9/12 Royal Lancers. Spent a lot of time in the training world, gunnery being my trade. Based in Lulworth since 1989 on and off till I finished in 1998, rank of WO2.
Met Karen in 93 and been together since. We got married July 19, 2008. She was born and bred in Lulworth. We now live in Bovington after buying our house there in 1997. Bovington (we are trying to get it a villagy name so we call it Boynton!) has been the home of the Armoured Corp for many years but is fast becoming civilianised as the old army quarters are sold off, we even have our own pub at last!

I now work for VT Group (formerly Vosper Thornycroft) as a training analyst. Pretty interesting work, looking at the way people do training amongst other things, and trying to develop a better and more cost effective method of doing it.
